I asked Miss T and she said that it would have been in Shakespeares time. There are no references to time in the book

In case you wanted to know,I wanted that particualar piece of information so that I could see if perhaps Emilia is acting like you would expect form a woman of that time, by staying loyal to her husband , whom she doesn't seem to love, instead of her mistress Desdemona, who she has a lot of respect for.
